A pig?

 Tomorrows my birthday! I'm going to the city with my family to do fun stuff! I'll take pictures and post them!

 I went to the library today and found some really cool Japanese Manga books and I was really happy because I'd been wanting to read some for a while. I just really LOVE that drawing style! I want two buy one and then tear every page out and glue them on my wall as wallpaper! Anyway The one I started reading is called Pixie POP and it's about Mayu who has a crush on someone but they don't really notice or care about her and she feels they can't be together. I'm in a similar situation except not as dramatic and I didn't accidentally drink a magic potion and transforms me whenever i drink something! Isn't that awesome! It's kind of weird to read though because it's all backwards compared to English novels so it's somewhat confusing but I think i got the hang of it. I haven't started reading the other one but I think it's about an ogre descendant trying to win back his ancestors island or something! Yeah! I love Japan. =)

 Oh I did a presentation to my class about japan but I don't think it went well. People didn't seem interested in J-POP, my Japanese food wrappers or learning how to say Hello my name is _______ and cat in Japanese. I think we kind of represented japan as a crazy, pop culture, Harijuku, fashion, Kawaii place (which is the part I really enjoy) rather than a cultural, historic, important place or whatever. I feel kind of bad as if I've reinforced stereotypes about japan being crazy or something :(

Monster!

Here are some pictures of the finished piece. It was made with an old slip dress, curtains, sheer purple fabric, googly eyes, fake hair from wig, fancy shiny colorful trim, plastic gems and some old lace from another dress. She said a lot of people like it and complimented it at the auction! =)

Oh my Goodness, Oh my Goodness!

So my school's kinder garden teacher asked me to decorate an old dress of hers for her to wear to the school auction and this is what i made! I made her a wedding dress from plastic bags and other recycled materials a few years ago too! At midnight, when I was almost done with it I try ed it on and took a few pictures:

There are more pictures to come of this dress. Also, last night I when with a Friend to a fancy fondue restaurant and then we saw the Broadway play Wicked, which was really cool!

SPACE!

Kon' nichiwa! I did space inspired nails this week. Each nail is based on a different nebula (don't ask me which because i don't know, i just saw pictures of the when i searched "Stars nebula"). I used this tutorial from Rookie.

wow that's awesome!!!

I redecorated my bedroom door with inspirational pictures. I used to just use fashion pictures but i mixed national geographic in this time and i really like it. I like how it's not all fashion centered. The theme was Queen Padama Amidala (from star wars(I saw it in 3D), Harijuku fashion, the alien children from village of the damned, and hipsters. I hope you like it.

Glitter shoes!!!

This is a pair of shoes that i got from goodwill and decorated using this Rookie diy. Then i beaded the shoelaces with my normal name on one and my alter ego's name on the other. I love Them!
